Jennifer Myers
While Jennifer Myers began her movement exploration in the womb, her formal lessons began with ballet lessons at two. Turning her parents into crazy carpoolers, she also began studying flute with Eleanor Tibblas-Pennington at the age of eight. These studies continued at the University of Redlands, then on to the Talent Education Institute of Matsumoto, Japan where she earned a Teacher's Certificate with Toshio Takahashi and at Boise State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Music in Performance with Dr. Nicole Molumby. In 1999, when she and husband Jeff started a family, Jennifer began to research how best to include music in their daily life and discovered the Music Together program. After completing training she became a registered Music Together Teacher and licensed Center Director, joyfully sharing music with local families and her own family; sons Max and Vaughn along with her husband Jeff who studies music through osmosis. The Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ, has awarded Jennifer Music Together Certification Level I status for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education. Along with teaching and directing MTTV, she maintains a private flute studio and continues her study of both music and early childhood development.
